Description. Yellowish-brown species. Color pattern of anterior dorsum and face as in Figs 1–3 View FIGURES 1 – 3 . Vertex with four dark brown marks on anterior margin. Legs marked with brown.
Other external features as in generic description.
Male genitalia. Male pygofer without processes, the male anal tube partially sclerotized ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 4 – 17 ). Valve fused to subgenital plates, approximately triangular, apically pointed, conjioned to just over half length, with a row of macrosetae along lateral margin ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 4 – 17 ). Aedeagal shaft longer than three times length of connective ( Figs 13, 14 View FIGURES 4 – 17 ). Connective, its stem nearly 1/2 length of arms ( Figs. 15, 16 View FIGURES 4 – 17 ).
Measurements. Length (including tegmen): 3, 4.5–4.6mm.
Host. Bamboo.
Type Material. Holotype 3, China: Guizhou Prov., Suiyang County, Kuankuoshui, 16 August 2010, coll. Jichun Xing ( GUGC). Paratypes: Jiangxi Prov. 13, Jiulianshan, Xiagongtang, 19 August 2008, coll. Zehong Meng ( GUGC); Sichuan Prov. 13, Mianyang City, Chaping, 20 July 2010, coll. Zhimin Chang ( GUGC).
Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin word “ bifidus ”, referring to the apex forked of aedeagus.
