Thaumasia annulipes F.O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1903
Figs 2, 10, 44–55
Thaumasia annulipes F.O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1903: 154 , plate 14, fig. 2, female holotype from Lower Amazon , Brazil (BMNH 1897.9.20.906-9) (examined).
Diagnosis. The females of T. annulipes ( Figs 44, 45) resemble those of T. xingu sp. nov. in the shape of the middle field of epigynum ( Fig. 137) and in the reduced head of spermathecae ( Fig. 45), but can be distinguished by the fewer loops on the copulatory duct 2 ( Fig. 45). The males of T. annulipes ( Figs 52–55) resemble those of T. xingu sp. nov. ( Fig. 141) in the shape of median apophysis and subtegulum (ST), but can be distinguished by the presence of a ventral branch on the RTA ( Fig. 53, vB) and by the long and slender tip of the ental branch of RTA ( Fig. 53).
Condition of holotype. All legs, carapace and abdomen are loose in the vial.
