Remarks. S. vetulus is a valid species described from Denmark (O.F. Müller 1776). But it is present only in Europe and North Africa, in other regions it is replaced by close sibling species ( Orlova-Bienkowskaja 2001). All Indian records should be re-examined. The effect of food on the life history of S. vetulus was investigated by Kanaujia (1988). Biology of S. vetulus was studied by Sharma P.C. & Pant (1982, 1984).
