Perennial herb, usually glandular-pubescent throughout, but sometimes only in inflorescence. Stems 60-100 cm, erect, sparingly branched. Leaves 20-70 x 8-32 mm, l j-21 times as long as wide, ovate, obtuse, more or less truncate at base, opposite below, alternate above. Bracts 5-12 mm, ovate. Pedicels 3—8(— 15) mm. Calyx-lobes 7-9 mm, broadly ovate, obtuse. Corolla 33-48 mm, pale yellow. Capsule 13-17 mm, ovoid-oblong, glandular-pubescent. 2n — 16. Rocks and stony slopes. • C. Italy to N.E. Spain. Ga Hs It.
