Leaves 30-50(-80) x 1 - 5-2 mm, linear-spathulate. Scapes up to 20 cm. Capitula 16-20 mm wide; outer involucral bracts shorter than the inner, mucronate. Spikelets stipitate. Corolla pale pink. Dry stony places, heaths and alpine meadows. N. Fennoscandia. (Siberia, Arctic America.)
