Atractaspis boulengeri vanderborghti Laurent, 1956 . Type locality: Manguretshipa , Lubero (Kivu), Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Distribution. It extends from Cameroon to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In Equatorial Guinea it has been recorded from Río Muni at Monte Alén National Park ( Lasso et al. 2002) ( Map 27C ).

Comments. The subspecies present in Equatorial Guinea is A. boulengeri matschiensis Werner, 1897 ( Laurent 1950; Lasso et al. 2002).

Specimens examined. No specimens of this species have been found in the examined collections.
