Aspidelaps lichtensteinii Jan, 1859: 511 . Type locality: “Côte-d’Or.” presumably Ghana ( Wallach et al. 2014).
Dinodipsas angulifera Peters, 1882b: 894 View in CoL . Type locality: “America australis”.
Causus lichtensteini ( Jan, 1859) : Duméril 1859: 217.
Distribution. This species extends from Guinea to Kenya and southward to Angola. In Equatorial Guinea it has been reported in Río Muni at Cabo San Juan ( Boulenger 1905) and Monte Alén National Park ( Lasso et al. 2002) ( Map 37A View MAPS 37 ).
Comments. Natural history aspects of this species were discussed by Ineich et al. (2006).
Specimens examined. One specimen. Río Muni: without specific locality, but likely Cabo San Juan as part of the material examined by Boulenger (1905) (MNCN 46687).
