Genus diagnosis: Each eye with eight ommatidia. Body with 10 tergites, 9 pleural projections; 13 pairs of legs. 8 antennomeres: VI longest and VIII shortest with 4 sensory cones. Antennomere VI with a setiform sensillum between two thick bacilliform sensilla, a conical sensillum located in posterior position. Labrum surface with spherical papillae gradually reducing in size toward posterior margin. Gnathochilarium lateral palp 1.5–2.5 times longer than medial palp. 20–22 sensilla on medial palp and 13 on lateral palp. Two or more tergal trichomes rows in two latero-posterior clusters either side midline, with central gap. Anterior row often uneven, intermediate rows rarely in defined rows and posterior row of trichome sockets continuous or with a medial gap. Tarsus 2 with setiform seta.
