Range: — Costa Rica and Panama; Venezuela to Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, SC).
Ecology: —Uncommon; terrestrial along streams and in streambeds, especially on wet rocks; 200–1900 m.
Notes: —One of the smaller species of Amauropelta in Bolivia, and also one of the few that has elongate or oblong, exindusiate sori.
