Range:— Ecuador to Bolivia ( CH, CO, LP, SC).
Ecology:— Relatively common; terrestrial, weedy, in irrigation ditches, along small streams, and in disturbed sites in humid and semihumid forests; 2400–3400 m.
Notes:— Differs from closely related Amauropelta glandulosolanosa by simple (vs. often forked) veins that are often raised abaxially, shorter non-septate hairs on the indusia and costae abaxially, absence of glands on the costae, often setose sporangia, and generally smaller indusia.
