Range: —Northern Peru; Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Uncommon; terrestrial in humid forests, along streams and on rock faces; 2000–3250 m.
Notes:— Differs from related and much more common Amauropelta rufa in the exindusiate sori, glabrous sporangia, and smaller blades with fewer reduced proximal pinna pairs. A variable species, but too few collections exist to evaluate the taxonomic significance of this variation.
