Range:— Colombia to Bolivia (LP).
Ecology:— Rare, known from only two collections in Bolivia; terrestrial in humid forests; 800–1100 m.
Notes:— This is the only Goniopteris with peglike aerophores at the pinna bases. The adaxial blade surfaces have dense adpressed hairs between veins.
