Range:— Trinidad; mountains from French Guiana and Colombia to Bolivia (LP); southeastern Brazil.
Ecology:— Uncommon; terrestrial in humid forests, especially in ravines; 950–1600 m.
Notes:— A species with 5 varieties, 2 of which are found in Bolivia.
