Range: —Antilles; southern Mexico to Venezuela and Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, SC); Brazil and Paraguay.
Ecology: —Uncommon; terrestrial in humid forests, often along streams and on wet rocks, sometimes rheophytic; 200–1250 m.
Notes: —Of the Bolivian species, this has the narrowest pinnae, with the fewest number of rows of areoles on both sides of the costae. The adpressed, curved hairs on the costae abaxially are also distinctive.
