Physokermes piceae (Schrank) View in CoL
Names used in the samples: Physokermes abietis , Physokermes latipes , Physokermes piceae
BELARUS: dry material. Picea abies: Belovezh —5267 (12.vii.1908, leg. A. Mordvilko, det. not known) ;
Remarks. The Belovezh Forest also stretches on in the territory of Poland, but in the light of the following facts, the sample is from the territory of Belarus. The names of the collector and identifier are not indicated for the sample, only the name of the locality Belovezh in Russian аs ‘ БЕЛОВЕж ’, and the date as ‘12.07.08’. In his work, when describing the taxon Physokermes latipes, Borchsenius (1957) refers to the material marked with the same date and the same place name, and A. Mordvilko is indicated as the sample collector. There is no doubt that the dry sample in Biruta Rasiņa’s scale insect collection is from the same series of A. Mordvilko’s collection, which was given to Biruta Rasiņa by N. Borchsenius during their meeting.
