Eup[ithecia] illaborata Dietze, 1904, Deutsche Entomologische Zeitung, Iris [ 1903] 16 ( 2): 357, pl. 3, fig. 34. Syntypes 4 ♂, 4 ♀ (coll. K. Dietze and R. Püngeler in MNHU; examined), [ China]: Aksu, Chines. West Turkestan; Korla.
This small species from the “ haworthiata ” group was known from south eastern Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan (Tien- Shan Mts.) and the northern provinces of China (Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia). E. illaborata is a new representative of the genus for the Mongolian fauna. The single Mongolian specimen has a rusty ochreous tinge to the body and wings, and dark brown costal margins on the fore wings.
Material examined. 1 ♀, W. Mongolia, Khovd aimag, Uench-Gol Valley, 50 km N of Uench vill., 1500 m, 6.vii. 2007, V.V. Anikin leg., Mironov slide no. 883 ♀ ( ZISP).
