Also a widespread Palaearctic species. It was repeatedly described from areas of Russia and China bordering with Mongolia as E. altaicata Guenée , E. vellicata Dietze , and E. pimpinellata f. assimilis Dietze. It was recorded for the fauna of Mongolia by Viidalepp ( 1975) and Vojnits ( 1975) almost simultaneously. Mongolia (aimags): Bulgan, Tuv.
