Ecology in Martinique. This species ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 12–19 ) is restricted to dry areas (mainly to xerophilic forests) at low altitudes, indicating a clear xerothermophilic tendency.
Range (after Schileyko & Cupul-Magaña 2021: 312). Northern America: Western Mexico; Antilles: from Cuba ( Kraepelin 1904: 251), Cayman Islands and Jamaica to Bonnaire Island near Curaçao; Northern and North-Western regions of South America: Northern Venezuela (Caracas and Puerto Cabello), Ecuador, Western Colombia (Quindío Department and Eastern Cordillera), Northern, Central and Southern Peru.
