Description. Adult ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ) with forewing expanse 9.0 mm.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 20 – 27 ): Apophysis anterioris about 5/7 length of apophysis posterioris. Lamella postvaginalis broadly U shaped, concave at middle on posterior margin; lamella antevaginalis triangular, produced laterally, bearing dense spines. Ductus bursae with basal 5/6 sclerotized, distal 1/6 membranous, two sclerotized processes and 3–4 tiny denticles situated between sclerotized and membranous parts. Corpus bursae ovate; two large elliptic signa, each with a small heavily sclerotized plate bearing several denticles posteriorly.
Distribution. China (Hainan).
Remarks. Promalactis clavata Du, Li et Wang was described from males only. Here we describe the female for the first time.
