Key to the species of Jiricateres gen. nov.
1. Antennal club asymmetric, antennomere 8 triangular, weakly elongate, antennomeres 9–10 elongate and strongly triangular with stretched apical edge, apical antennomere elongate-oval. Ultimate palpomere strongly elongate, twice as long as palpomere 2, fusiform-oval. Legs not thickened, femora slightly widened, tibiae and tarsi narrow. Baltic amber.................................................................................. Jiricateres alleni ( Kolibáč, 2011) , comb. nov.
- Antennal club symmetrical; antennomere 8 shortened, cup-shaped, differs in shape from antennomere 7 but distinctly narrower than antennomere 9; antennomeres 9–10 strongly transverse; antennomere 11 rounded or triangularly rounded. Ultimate palpomere not strongly elongate, 1.5× as long as palpomere 2, suboval or truncate at apex, legs rather robust, femora medially widened, tibiae widened apically........................................................................ 2
2. Flattened lateral margins weakly raised, flattening not impressed, elytral apices not flattened. Antennomere 7 cup-shaped and not smaller than antennomere 6. Flattened lateral margins of pronotum distinctly impressed.......................... 3
- Flattened lateral elytral margins distinctly raised, elytral apices entirely flattened. Antennomere 7 rounded, slightly shorter than antennomere 6. Lateral pronotal sides flattened, not impressed near distinctly raised lateral margins. Elytral striae lacking incomplete additional striae on apical quarter. Baltic amber....................................................................... Jiricateres storozhenkoi Tshernyshev, Alekseev, Bukejs, Vasilenko, Legalov & Perkovsky , sp. nov.
3. Elytral apices not closed; each elytron rounded separately. Flattened lateral margin started from the level of humeri and continued to the apex but not reaching a suture. Pronotum narrowed distally; disc of elytra and pronotum convex. Apical antennomere subround. Intervals between 3 and 4 striae with incomplete additional striae on apical quarter of elytra. Rovno amber........................... Jiricateres damzeni Tshernyshev, Alekseev, Bukejs, Vasilenko, Legalov & Perkovsky , sp. nov.
- Elytral apices closed and evenly rounded. Flattened lateral margin started from the level of humeri and not reaches the elytral apex. Pronotum not narrowed distally, lateral sides nearly parallel; disc of elytra and pronotum flattened. Apical antennomere subtriangular. Intervals between 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 striae with incomplete additional striae on apical quarter of elytra. Rovno amber..............
