Type host. Dicksonia sellowiana Hook. (Dicksoniaceae) .
Type locality. Jardim Botânico, Curitiba (25º26’S, 49º14’W), Paraná, Brazil GoogleMaps .
Relationship to host plant. Vagrants on fronds; no apparent symptoms ( Flechtmann & De Queiroz 2010).
Remark. Only known from the type host/locality.
Type host plant status. Native tree fern, not endemic, occurring in Mata Atlântica in the Southeast and South Regions. Considered a species in threat of extinction due to its intense commercial exploration for the extraction of the arborescent caudex used for the manufacture of “xaxim” ( Della & Vasques 2020).
