Remarks. genus only known from Brazil, up to date monospecific.

Type host. Solanum lycocarpum L. ( Solanaceae ).

Type locality. Sobradinho (15º43’50”S, 47º54’03”W), Distrito Federal , Brazil GoogleMaps .

Additional host/localities in Brazil. On S. lycocarpum (Solanaceae) : Brasília (15º43’50”S, 47º54’03”W) ( Duarte et al. 2020), “Embrapa Hortaliças”, Gama (15º55’55”S, 48º08’24”W) ( Duarte et al. 2020); Distrito Federal, Goiânia (in this paper, specimens deposited at the Collection of Plant Mites, Embrapa Genetic Resources and Biotechnology), Goiás; on Solanum jamaicense Mill. (Solanaceae) and Solanum subinerme Jacq. (Solanaceae) : “Embrapa Hortaliças” Gama (15º55’55”S, 48º08’24”W) ( Duarte et al. 2020), Distrito Federal; on Solanum paniculatum L. ( Solanaceae ): “Embrapa Recursos Genéticos e Biotecnologia” Brasília (15º43’44”S, 47º54’09”W) ( Duarte et al. 2020), Distrito Federal.

Relationship to host plant. Vagrants on leaves, specially on the adaxial surface. No visible damage was seen although a high density of mites was observed ( Duarte et al. 2020). Remark. Type species in the genus Viginticus. In the alternative solanaceous plants, no symptom was observed.

Type host plant status. Native shrub or tree, not endemic, occurring in Cerrado and Mata Atlântica biomes ( Flora do Brasil 2020) .

S. jamaicense —native shrub, not endemic, occurring in Amazônia, Caatinga, Cerrado and Mata Atlântica biomes ( Flora do Brasil 2020); S. paniculatum — native shrub, not endemic, occurring in Amazônia, Caatinga, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica and Pampa biomes ( Flora do Brasil 2020); S. subinerme — native shrub, not endemic, occurring in Amazônia and Cerrado biomes ( Flora do Brasil 2020).
