Type :— SPAIN. In montibus Cazorlanis provinciae Giennensis, 15 May 1928, Lacaita s.n. (holotype: BM, not seen; see Kretzschmar et al. 2007) .

Basionym: Orchis cazorlensis Lacaita View in CoL , Cavanillesia 3: 35 (1939).
