Distribution in Iran. East Azarbaijan ( Ghahari et al. 2009b, in alfalfa field), Mazandaran ( Ghahari et al. 2009a).
Distribution outside Iran. One of the most common braconid in the Palearctic region ( Belokobylskij 1995; Papp 2011–2012); all Europe ( Szépligeti 1904 as Hormia moniliatus ). Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Canary Islands, Caucasus, China, Finland, France, Germany, Greenland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, former Yugoslavia ( Yu et al. 2012), Belgium ( Wesmael 1835, 1838; Yu et al. 2012), Bulgaria ( Balevski 1999; Merchiv et al. 2001; Yu et al. 2012), Cape Verde Islands ( Papp 1996 under the subfamily Exothecinae ; Yu et al. 2012), Czech Republic (Lozan et al. 2010; Yu et al. 2012), Denmark (van Achterberg 2006), Greece ( Papp 2007; Yu et al. 2012), Israel ( Papp 1970, 1988, 2011–2012; Yu et al. 2012), Macedonia ( Papp 2010; Yu et al. 2012), Mongolia ( Papp 2009b; Yu et al. 2012), Serbia ( Belokobylskij and Žikić 2009 under the subfamily Exothecinae ; Yu et al. 2012), Spain ( Jiménez et al. 1992 under the subfamily Rogadinae; Yu et al. 2012), Taiwan ( Belokobylskij 1995; Yu et al. 2012), Turkey (Beyarslan and Aydogdu 2013), UK ( Marshall 1885; Broad and Shaw 2009; Yu et al. 2012).
Host records. Gelechia senticetella (Staudinger) ( Lepidoptera : Gelechiidae ) ( Mirchev et al. 2001), Pyrausta sanguinalis (Linnaeus) , P. purpuralis (Linnaeus) ( Lepidoptera : Crambidae ) ( Balevski 1999), Chilo suppressalis Walker ( Lepidoptera : Crambidae ) ( Jiménez et al. 1992).
