Distribution in Iran. Sistan & Baluchestan ( Sedighi and Madjdzadeh 2015).
Distribution outside Iran. A Palaearctic and fairly frequent species ( Belokobylskij 2000). Canada ( Fox et al. 2004; Yu et al. 2012 as Perilitus melanopus ; Sharanowski et al. 2014), Caucasus, Kazakhstan, Central Asia, Western Europe ( Tobias 1986 as Meteorus melanopus ), Hungary ( Papp 2006; Yu et al. 2012 as Perilitus melanopus ), Macedonia ( Papp 2010; Yu et al. 2012 as Perilitus melanopus ), Mongolia ( Papp 2005 as Perilitus aethiopoides ; Papp 2009b; Yu et al. 2012 as Perilitus melanopus ), Turkey ( Güçlü and Özbek 2011).
Host records. In Turkey, it is reported from Ceuthorrhynchus quadridens Everts , C. assimilis Paykull , C. pleurostigma Everts , C. ruebsaameni H. Kolbe ( Coleoptera : Cuirculionidae) ( Güçlü and Özbek 2011), Hypera meles (Fabricius) , Ceutorrhynchus spp. ( Coleoptera ; Curculionidae ) ( Tobias 1986).
