Distribution in Iran. Guilan (Farahani et al. 2012; Sedighi and Madjdzadeh 2015).

Distribution outside Iran. Austria, Bulgaria, China, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Netherlands, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan (van Achterberg and Haeselbarth 2003; Yu et al. 2012), Lithuania ( Tobias 1986 as Syntretus lyctaea ; van Achterberg and Haeselbarth 2003; Yu et al. 2012), UK ( Marshall 1887 as Microctonus xanthocephalus ; van Achterberg and Haeselbarth 2003; Yu et al. 2012; Knowler and Broad 2014).

Host records. This species is reported as an endoparasitoid of Dirophanes invisor (Thunberg) ( Hymenoptera : Ichneumonidae ) ( Cole 1959; van Achterberg and Haeselbarth 2003; Yu et al. 2012). It is also reported as a parasitoid of Tortrix viridana Linnaeus ( Lepidoptera : Tortricidae ) ( Cole 1959).
