Distribution in Iran. Guilan (Farahani and Talebi 2012; Sedighi and Madjdzadeh 2015).

Distribution outside Iran. Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, former Yugoslavia ( Yu et al. 2012), France, Russia ( Yu et al. 2012; Stigenberg 2013; Stigenberg and Shaw 2013), Hungary ( Papp 1990b, 2002, 2006; Yu et al. 2012; Stigenberg and Shaw 2013), Sweden ( Szépligeti 1904; Yu et al. 2012), Turkey ( Yilmaz et al. 2010), UK ( Marshall 1887; Szépligeti 1904; Broad and Shaw 2009; Yu et al. 2012; Stigenberg and Shaw 2013).

Host records. Meteorus vexator is recorded as a parasitoid of Biphyllus lunatus (Fabricius) ( Coleoptera : Byphyllidae) and Dahlica lichinella (Linnaeus) ( Lepidoptera : Psychidae ) ( Morley 1912; Stigenberg and Ronquist 2011).
