Material examined. Mazandaran province, Behshahr, 36°41′N 53°44′E, 2♀, 3♂, September 2009. New record for Iran.
Distribution outside Iran. Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, former Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, UK, former Yugoslavia ( Yu et al. 2012), Caucasus, Europe ( Tobias 1986; Belokobylskij 1992), Hungary ( Papp 2006, 2008; Yu et al. 2012), Kazakhstan, Russia ( Tobias 1986; Belokobylskij 1992; Yu et al. 2012), Kyrgyzstan ( Tobias 1986), Middle Asia ( Belokobylskij 1992), Turkey ( Yilmaz et al. 2010; Koldaş et al. 2013; Yu et al. 2012).
Host records. Belokobylskij (1992) reported Tachyporus spp. ( Coleoptera : Staphylinidae ) as hosts for this species. Yu et al. (2012) reported Tachyporus chrysomelinus (Linnaeus) , T. hypnorum (Fabricius) , T. obtusus (Linnaeus) , T. solutus Erichson ( Coleoptera : Staphylinidae ), Leperisinus varius (Fabricius) ( Coleoptera : Curculionidae ), Asphondylia conglomerata Stefani ( Diptera : Cecidomyiidae ).
