Type:— INDIA. Jammu & Kashmir: Gombour, s.d., Jacquemont 1026 (lectotype P02977057!, designated here) ; isolectotypes P02977058!, P02977066!, P02977067!, P02977071!
Notes:— Pedicularis punctata was described by Decaisne (1844) based on the specimens collected by Jacquemont from Gombour, Jammu & Kashmir during his travel to India between the years 1828 to 1832. Decaisne’s types are known to be held P, PC at G. Five specimens collected by Jacquemont from Gombour, Jammu & Kashmir, India were traced at P (P02977057, P02977058, P02977066, P02977067 and P02977071). Of these, the best one P02977057, is designated here as the lectotype.
