15. Pedicularis garckeana Prain ex Maxim. ( Maximowicz 1888: 529) View in CoL .
Protologue citation:—“ Himalaya orientali: Chumbi, ad Be-ong-chin (hb. Calcutt.!)”.
Type:— INDIA. Sikkim: Ching-goo , Sept. 1882, King’s collector s.n. (neotype CAL0000018971 !, designated here) ; isoneotype CAL0000018972!
Notes:— Pedicularis garckeana was described by Maximowicz (1888) based on the collection of King’s collector from Be-ong-chin, Chumbi, China housed at CAL, but presently no original material are extant at CAL and K. Thus the specimen at CAL (CAL0000018971), collected by King’s collector from Ching-goo, Sikkim, India, adjacent to the type locality, is chosen here as the neotype and it agrees well with the protologue. Prior to Maximowicz, Prain annotated this specimen as ‘ Pedicularis garckeana Prain’.
