nigrocollaris ( Eriopyga ), 1947: 86. [ Noctuinae . Hadenini ] ( Fig. 197 View FIGURES 194–209 )
Type status (description). Holotype in Köhler’s collection.
Type locality and collectors. [ Argentina]— Misiones: Santo Tomé .
Type specimens. ZSM: Allotype ♀. Argentina, Misiones, Santo Tomé, Breyer leg. Old label: Argentina, Prov. Corrientes, Breyer.
Remarks. Köhler’s (1947) description does not explicitly mention the sex of the holotype. Although Köhler included symbols for both male and female in the species description, the text suggests that he had only a single specimen. This inference is based on the absence of any reference to variation in the characters described, the provision of a single wingspan measurement (whereas for other species, he provided a range), the indication of only one locality for the collected material, and the designation of a single type, the holotype, without further designation of allotype or paratypes.
