Current status. Junior synonym of Dargida mesotoma (Hampson) [ Poole 1989]
Type status (description). Holotype male and allotype female in Zoologischen Staatssammlung in München.
Type locality and collectors. Holotype. Bolivia — Cuticucho : Río Songo, 3700m, 4.xii.1953 (Forster) . Allotype. Same locality and collector data, 2.xii.1953.
Type specimens. ZSM: Holotype ♂. Bolivia, Songotal , Cuticucho, ca 3700m, 4.xii.1953, Leg. W. Forster. Genitalia slide ZS ♂ 10 . Allotype not found.
