Key to Japanese species of Rhinophoridae

1. Vein M reaching wing margin or tip of vein R4+5 so that cell r4+5 is open or just closed at wing margin ( Fig. 34 ). Body grayishbrown. Base of antenna and halter yellowish-orange ( Fig. 30 )....................... Oplisa japonica Pape & Kurahashi

- Vein M ending in vein R4+5, not reaching wing margin so that cell r4+5 is distinctly petiolate ( Figs 31–33 ). Body blackish. Base of antenna black. Halter infuscate ( Figs 27–29 ).............................................................. 2
