Hainanmezira n. sp. 2

(Photo 6, 9).

A single female labelled: China, Hainan, Jianfeng / Nanya 644m / 2007 VIII 22 Bai XS / Ent.Mus. CAU, Beijing (CAU) shows some differences to latiscutellata n. sp.: smaller size, more egg-shaped abdomen, long diverging genae, much shorter scutellum, and larger wing pads; and the large flat apodemal depressions on tergal plate are more rounded and smooth. These differences may indicate that this specimen belongs to a second species but because of the unknown variability we refrain from describing it formally. Its taxonomic status will be clarified when more material is available.

Measurements. Length 5.9 mm; head length / width 24/23; pronotum l/w 15/32; mesonotum l/w 11/38; length of antennae / width of head 1.63, length of antennal segments I/II/III/IV = 10.5/6.5/11.5/9, width of abdomen 3.0 mm.
