Distribution in Korea. CB, GB, GG, GN, GW, HB, JB, JN ( Klimaszewski 1968a, as Syntomoza humerosa ; Miyatake 1971, as Syntomoza humerosa ; Park et al. 1980, as Syntomoza magna ; Kwon 1983; Kwon & Kwon 2020) (KNA, NHMB, NAAS, NIBR, SNU).

Host plant. Fraxinus chinensis subsp. rhynchophylla (Hance) A.E.Murray (Oleaceae) ( Kwon 1983). Syringa villosa subsp. wolfii (C.K.Schneid.) Jin Y.Chen & D.Y.Hong (Oleaceae) recorded by Kwon (1983) and Kwon & Kwon (2020) is an unlikely host.

Comments. The record of Syntomoza magna by Park et al. (1980) is a misidentification of Syringilla humerosa as stated by Kwon (1983).
