Genus Renius Li & Wang

Diagnosis. Form broadly rounded, dorsum moderately convex and glabrous ( Fig. 69a–c View FIGURE 69 ). Clypeus medially distinctly projecting in male, medially distinctly raised but to a much lesser degree in female ( Fig. 69c, e View FIGURE 69 ). Antenna with 10 antennomeres. Terminal maxillary palpomere elongate with sides slightly expanded, apex obliquely truncate. Posterior margin of pronotum with distinct border line. Prosternal process long, narrow, without carinae ( Fig. 69d View FIGURE 69 ). Elytra laterally explanate and strongly reflexed, without marginal bead. Epipleuron unusually broad, about 0.5× as wide as metaventrite ( Fig. 69d View FIGURE 69 ). Abdominal postcoxal lines complete, apically strongly recurved and arcuate in female ( Fig. 69f View FIGURE 69 ). Legs with stout femora, tibiae slender without apical spurs; tarsal claws appendiculate.

Distribution. India (North-eastern region); China.

Included species. This genus is monotypic and known by its type species, Renius cornutus Li & Wang.
