Description. Body length (including forewing): ɗ, 5.4–5.6mm. Vertex ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 1 – 15 ) mostly white, with irregular black patch on middle part and posterior margin; clypellus ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1 – 15 ) dark brown, with off-white near apical margin. Forewing ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 1 – 15 ), mostly nearly dark ochreous, with large white patch near costal margin; clavus marked with large yellowish green patch.
Male pygofer ( Figs. 21 View FIGURES 16 – 30 , 32 View FIGURES 31 – 33 ) with short, slender ventral process arising near base, just reaching middle of ventral margin. Aedeagus ( Figs 23, 24 View FIGURES 16 – 30 ) with paired apical processes extending laterally but somewhat straight in ventral view. Other characteristics as shown in Figs 6–10 View FIGURES 1 – 15 , 21–25 View FIGURES 16 – 30 , 32 View FIGURES 31 – 33 .
Type material. THAILAND: Holotype ɗ (QSBG), Loei, Phu Kradueng, 420m, 26.vi.–1.vii.2008, coll. Thonghuay. Paratypes: 1ɗ (UIUC), Phetchabun, Nam Nao, 868m, 9–16.x.2006, coll. Leng Janteab; 1ɗ (NWAFU), Phetchabun, Khao Kho, 242m, 5–6.xi.2006, coll. Somchai Chachumnan & Saink Singtong.
Remarks. This species can be easily recognized by the following characteristics: 1) vertex predominantly white, marked with a large black patch on disc and at base, respectively; 2) forewing with a large white marking near costal margin; 3) apical processes of aedeagus in ventral view somewhat straight, which is only extended laterally but not curved anteriorly.
Etymology. The specific name refers to the black patch on the vertex.
