In the API 20NE system, positive for urease, esculin hydrolysis, gelatin hydrolysis, β -galactosidase, and utilization of D-mannose, D-mannitol, D-maltose, and potassium glutamate; but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, and arginine dihydrolase. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, N -acetyl- β -glucosamine, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid are not utilized as sole carbon sources. Strain MMS22-M6-3-14 (= NIBRBAC000509451) was isolated from a soil sample at Gangneung, Gangwon-do, Republic of Korea.
