Description of Enterobacter quasiroggenkampii 16S3A9

Cells are Gram-stain-negative, non-flagellated, and rod shaped. Colonies are white colored after incubation for 2 days on R2 A at 30° C. In the API 20NE system, positive for nitrate reduction, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, and β -galactosidase; but negative for indole production, urease, gelatin hydrolysis, and cytochrome oxidase. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-D-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid are utilized as sole carbon sources; while capric acid and adipic acid are not. Strain 16S3A9 (= NIBRBAC000509477) was isolated from a soil sample at Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea .
