Geographical distribution. Described from Brazil (Pará) and distributed in Venezuela (new country record), French Guiana, Guyana (new country record), Ecuador (new country record), Peru (new country record), Brazil (Amapá, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Mato Grosso, and Goiás), and Bolivia. Mentioned for Bolivia (Santa Cruz) by Wappes et al. (2006).

Specimens examined. VENEZUELA, Bolívar: Río Guaniamo, male, 8.12. V.1979, F. Ozuna & A. Chacón leg. GUYANA, Kurupukari, female, XII1921, N. Beccari leg. ECUADOR, Manabi: Puerto Cayo, male, 21.II.1993, L. Bartolozzi leg. PERU, Junin: Satipo, female 1938, without collector, same locality, male, IX.1942, female, X.1943.
