Colobothea rubroornata Zajciw, 1962b: 285 ; Monné, 2005: 349 (cat.); Wappes et al., 2006: 38 (distr.).

Geographical distribution. Described from Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, and distributed in Brazil from Espírito Santo to Santa Catarina also in Paraguay. Recorded by Wappes et al. (2006) for Bolivia (Santa Cruz).
