Geographical distribution. Widely distributed in South America, from Surinam and French Guiana, to Ecuador (new country record), Brazil (Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Mato Grosso), Peru, and Bolivia.
Specimens examined. ECUADOR, Napo: Atahualpa (21 – 25 km NW), male, 0 5 – 07.IV.1997. F. T. Hovore leg. Lago Agrio, 3 females, IX. X.1977, J. Escobar leg. (MNRJ).
