Colobothea simillima Aurivillius, 1902: 210 ; Monné, 2005: 346 (cat.); Wappes et al., 2006: 38 (distr.).

Geographical distribution. Described from Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul: São Leopoldo), and distributed from Espírito Santo to Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil; also Bolivia, Paraguay, and Argentina.
