Colobothea plebeja Aurivillius, 1902: 219 ; Monné, 2005: 348 (cat.); Wappes et al., 2006: 38 (distr.).

Geographical distribution. Aurivillius (1902) described C. plebeja from Peru and Bolivia. Wappes et al. (2006) mentioned the species for Santa Cruz.

Specimens examined. BOLIVIA. Beni: Rurrenabaque, 4 males, 2 females, X.1952 L. Peña leg. (MNRJ), same locality and collector, 3 females, X.1956 (MNRJ), male, 4 females, XI. XII.1921, W. M. Mann leg. (ACMT). Cochabamba: Provincia Chapare, male, 8.XII.1945, R. Zischka leg., same data and collector, 7 females, 8.VIII.1950.(MNRJ).
