Comments. Very similar in the pattern of coloration to C. brullei Gahan, 1889 , but easily distinguishable by the sharply oblique humeri, and by the antenna of the male without an obtuse spine at the apex of antennomere VI.
Geographical distribution. Widely distributed in the Amazon Basin, and in the northern part of South America. Here, we extend the distribution to Trinidad & Tobago (new country record).
Specimens examined. TRINIDAD & TOBAGO, Trinidad, Maracas, Trinidad Bay, 2 females, 12.VII.1968, J. Boos leg. (MNRJ).
