14. Matsumurina longissima Yang View in CoL & Z hang sp. nov.
( Fig. 2a–d View FIGURE 2. a – d , 9a–m, o)
Description. Ground color yellowish, eyes and basal triangles of mesonotum black. Fore wing pale, transparent, apex slightly brownish.
Male 2S abdominal apodemes extended to middle part of third sternite (Fig. 9a).
Pygofer side (Fig. 9b) elongated, distal half with dense denticuli; dorsal appendage (Figs 9c, e) sinuate, apical part flabelliform with small tooth dorsally, almost reaching hind margin of lobe, one of the paratypes with left dorsal appendage (Fig. 9d) greatly reduced and not extended apically. Ligament (Fig. 9b) narrow, fused with pygofer dorsal appendage. Subgenital plate (Figs 9b, g) not reaching hind margin of pygofer side, pointed apically, constriction short, about 5/6 distance from base; with about 5 macrosetae near lateral margin and several microsetae scattered on distal disc, marginal microsetae reduced, from midlength to constriction. Style (Fig. 9h) almost straight, apical part short, preapical lobe indistinct. Connective (Figs 9i –l) with lateral arms extremely short, wide in lateral view. Aedeagal shaft (Figs 9i –l) tubular, apical processes symmetric, directed ventrad then curved caudad; branch of upper atrial appendage (Figs 9i –l, m) long, sticklike; ventral process slightly wider than aedeagal shaft, length and shape of apex varied, holotype (Figs 9i, k) and one paratype pointed apically, reaching subapical part of shaft, the other two paratypes (Figs 9j, l, o) slightly or distinctly concave apically, reaching midlength of shaft.
Measurement. Male length 3.60–3.85 mm, female length 3.40–3.70 mm.
Material examined. Holotype: ♂, CHINA, Yunnan Prov., Menglun, 570m, 0 9. xii. 1999, coll. I. Dworakowska. Paratypes: 2♂♂4♀♀, same data as holotype; 1♂ 1♀, CHINA, Yunnan Prov., Jinghong, 25. xii. 1999, coll. Qin Daozheng.
Deposition. Entomological Museum, NWAFU, Yangling, China.
Diagnosis. Extremely similar to M. angusta sp. nov., but body bigger, male genitalia larger and darker, pygofer dorsal appendage flabelliform apically, not exceeding pygofer side, upper atrial appendage far away from aedeagal shaft, distance between two branches wider, apex of aedeagal ventral process pointed or concave.
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from Latin word “ longissimus ” which refers to the elongate pygofer side being much longer than the subgenital plate.
