REMARKS
Miller (1768) described S. rosmarinifolia (BM 000909660) as: “ pedunculis unifloris, capitulis globosis, foliis linearibus integerrimis ”, and assigned it the number 5. He also cited “ Santolina foliis rosmarini major ” (P-TOURN 4215) as a synonym of this name.It is illegitimate due to homonymy (c.f. Article 53.1 of the ICBN, McNeill et al. 2012) with the legitimate name S. rosmarinifolia ( Linnaeus 1753) .
