Etymology. After New Caledonian locality.
Diagnosis. Differs from the other representatives of Trite by the shape of tegulum, the embolus curved at its base ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 12 – 20 ) and thinner RTA ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 12 – 20 ).
Description. Male holotype. Cephalothorax dark brown, with sparse white hairs in patches on the sides and a longitudinal stripe along midline of thorax. Eyes surrounded in black. A fringe of light-orange hairs above AME. Thorax with indistinct light brown lines radiating from fovea. Clypeus brown, narrower (26%) than AME diameter, covered with long white hairs. Chelicerae brown, slender, with frontal spur and papillate anterior surface; fangs with distinctive protrusions. Promargin with single tooth, retromarginal tooth with 4 cusps. Endites and labium brown, sternum light brown. Palps light brown. Tibia short; RTA thin and short, slightly hooked at the tip ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 12 – 20 ). Tegulum rhomboid, slightly longer than wide. Embolus thin and long ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 12 – 20 ), originating at 11 o ′clock at the bulb. Legs I brown, patellae and tibiae distally lighter; ventral spination: pI: 2, tI: 2-2-2 (prolateral 1), mI: 2-2. Legs II light brown; ventral spination: pII: 0, tII: 2-2-2 (prolateral 1-1 or 1-1-1), mII: 2-2 (prolateral 1-1). Other legs light brown. Abdomen pale yellow with two longitudinal brown stripes. Venter pale-yellow. Spinnerets light brown.
Dimensions. CL 2.20, CW 1.60, CH 1.04, EFL 1.04, AEW 1.44, PEW 1.52, AL 2.12, AW 1.32, leg I: 6.22, leg II: 4.10, leg III: 4.06, leg IV: 4.66.
