Type species: Macropsis breakeyi Merino, 1936
Diagnosis. Body obviously depressed. Crown prominent, V-shaped in dorsal view. Face with lora fused to frontoclypeus, lacking clear sutures between them. Ocelli on face, closer to adjacent eyes than to each other. Pronotum slightly declivous, striations on surface dense and oblique. Scutellum triangular. Forewings with 3 anteapical cells, veins protruding. Male pygofer broad, with some short spinelike distal processes on inner surface of lobe. Subgenital plate slender, with scattered setae. Dorsal connective divided into two articulated portions. Connective small, posterior margin nearly truncate. Style slender, with sparse row of fine setae dorsolaterally. Aedeagus shaft tubular.
Distribution. Australia, Borneo, China, India, Philippines and Thailand.
