Genus Heterocola Förster, 1869 View in CoL

Small genus with seven Palaearctic and probably one Oriental species; most species occur in southern Europe. The most noticeable character of this genus is the very long maxillary palpi ( Fig. 8 View Figs 1–11 ). The first Afrotropical species is described here.
